Thank you for getting in touch.

It’s a frustration of many residents.

We have approached many companies asking them to remind the drivers of the speed limit.

We’d asked GMP for a mobile camera unit, but because we already have a fixed camera, it would be low priority.

We are currently talking to Amey’s traffic division about installing speed display signs at either end of the village, in the hope that drivers will reduce their speed. We just need the money to buy them (£6000), which we should have available by the end of the year.

QP0025 14/12/2020 Reported to Local policing team – GMP Response: vehicle on PNC and it is showing as in trade. The DVLA are not permitting the seizure of any untaxed vehicles since the COVID Pandemic. Therefore we are unable to seize at this time for the vehicle being untaxed.

14/12/2020 TMBC have been out to review the problem14/01/2021 More flooding due to heavy rain, spoken with TMBC who are only dealing with emergencies were water is entering properties. All gully and drain problems should be dealt with within 28 working days. (which means any time now). Addtional job raised.02/02/2021: Escalated to a complaint, as over 28 working days: Request ID:198829810/03/2021: Complaint also raise by Parishioner – Compliant was closed, citing: The current drainage is impacted by field wash off and drains impacted by slit building up rapidly. We have cleaned the drains and gullies and will conitune to monitor and clean gullies as we move forward on this matter. If you notice any build up in any areas again please let us know.

16/04/2021: Response from One Trafford re complaint 1988298. Engineers are aware of flooding and impact from construction. No permanent solution at present.

Parish Council11/12/2020Isherwood Road has now become an overnight parking facility for HGVs. As there are no welfare facilities for the drivers, they will urinate in bottles and discard them on the footpaths and fields, and defecate in the area.

04/12/2020 Environmental Agency response: presume the reports are from Tuesday around 11:30 am which is when they had a power failure on site resulting in a valve tripping and sending propylene to the flare. Initially the flare would have been smokey for a short time until the steam from the boiler increased and the valve reset. I understand the flare continued to operate normally for some time after that.
