Thank you for getting in touch. It’s a frustration of many residents. We have approached many companies asking them to remind the drivers of the speed limit. We’d asked GMP for a mobile camera unit, but because we already have a fixed camera, it would be low priority. We are currently talking to Amey’s traffic division about installing speed display signs at either end of the village, in the hope that drivers will reduce their speed. We just need the money to buy them (£6000), which we should have available by the end of the year. |

16/04/2021: Response from One Trafford re complaint 1988298. Engineers are aware of flooding and impact from construction. No permanent solution at present.
Parish Council11/12/2020Isherwood Road has now become an overnight parking facility for HGVs. As there are no welfare facilities for the drivers, they will urinate in bottles and discard them on the footpaths and fields, and defecate in the area.

04/12/2020 Environmental Agency response: presume the reports are from Tuesday around 11:30 am which is when they had a power failure on site resulting in a valve tripping and sending propylene to the flare. Initially the flare would have been smokey for a short time until the steam from the boiler increased and the valve reset. I understand the flare continued to operate normally for some time after that.
